The production version of the upcoming Datsun Redigo hatchback was spotted testing at Chennai. Redigo will take on the Maruti’s Alto 800 when it hits the showrooms next year. This car was first revealed as a concept at the Auto Expo 2014 in Delhi. This new model will use the same Renault-Nissan CMF-A platform that underpins the recently launched Renault Kwid. The production version of the Redigo will come with the same three-cylinder 800cc engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Redigo is expected to hit the showrooms early 2016.
