The “compact” segment in India, be it an SUV or a sedan, is a fast-growing and lucrative segment, and the Indian manufacturers have taken the segment very seriously. The popular UV/SUV maker of India, Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the NuvoSport compact SUV today at Rs 7.35 lakh ex-showroom, Thane. During the launch event, Mahindra stressed that the NuvoSport is not just a rechristened and facelifted Quanto, because it’s based on Mahindra’s 3rd generation chassis, which also underpins the new generation Scorpio. Mahindra says this new chassis has been designed to enhance the ride quality, handling and comfort. The NuvoSport is the third product by Mahindra for 2016 and is stacked above TUV300.
