Jaguar Land Rover today launched the updated XF sedan in India priced between Rs 49.50 – 62.10 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi. Interested customers can book the car for a deposit of Rs 5 lakh, and the deliveries will begin at the end of September. Available in 3 trims namely Pure, Prestige and Portfolio.
The Ford sourced engines have made way for JLR’s own Ingenium units. The new Jaguar XF comes with a 2.0 litre 4 cyl turbocharged Ingenium diesel engine, producing 180 hp @ 4000 rpm and 430 Nm of torque @ 1750 – 2500 rpm. There’s also a 2.0 litre petrol engine producing 240 hp and 340 Nm of torque, exclusive to the Prestige and Portfolio trim. An 8 Speed automatic transmission is standard across all the variants.
Thanks to the new “Lightweight Aluminium Architechture”, the new XF is 190 kg lighter than the outgoing model, and has a 50:50 weight distribution. Few key features include JaguarDrive Control, 10.2 inch InControl Touch Pro infotainment system, 12.3 inch Virtual Instrument Display, 17 speaker 825 W Meridian Surround Sound System and many more. Safety features include front and side curtain airbags, emergency braking, dynamic stability control and traction control, All Surface Progress Control, hill launch assist and some more.
The petrol and diesel variants have an ARAI certified fuel economy of 13.12 km/l and 19.33 km/l respectively.
