2016 BMW 3 Series GT launched at Rs 43.30 lakh

BMW India has launched the updated 3 Series GT, with prices starting at Rs 43.30 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. It is available in 3 variants – Sport Line diesel (Rs 43.30 lakh), Luxury Line diesel (Rs 46.50 lakh) and Luxury Line petrol (Rs 47.50 lakh). All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

The new 3 Series GT gets minor cosmetic upgrades on the exterior. There’s a new adaptive LED headlamps with automatic height activation, LED taillamps, and LED fog lamps. The bumpers too get subtle re-design for more aggressive and sporty look.

As with the exterior, the interiors too get minor tweaks. The materials used include wood, leather and brushed aluminium accents. There’s ambient lighting too. The boot capacity has been increased by 33 litres. The 520 litre boot can be expanded up to 1,600 litres via 40:20:40 split rear seats.

Engines have been carried over from the outgoing model; the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel (190 hp, 400 Nm) and 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol (252 hp, 350 Nm) units paired with 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.

Safety kit includes 6 airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with brake assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Side-impact Protection, Runflat tyres with reinforced sidewalls, emergency spare wheel, electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor.

There are two new shades on the GT – Arctic Grey and Jatoba Metallic.
