Audi has launched the RS 7 Sportback Performance in India at Rs 1,59,65,000, ex-showroom, Delhi. The regular RS 7 itself is a performance variant of the S7 Sportback, which is a performance variant of the A7 Sportback. Now this should give you an idea of what the RS 7 Sportback Performance is. The A7 Sportback was on sale in India until 2015, and had to make way for the RS 7 Sportback.

The RS 7 Sportback Performance packs the same 4.0-litre (3,993 cc) TFSI V8 petrol motor from the regular RS 7, but here it produces 605 hp between 6100-6800 rpm, and 700 Nm of torque between 1750-6000 rpm. There’s 45 hp more than the regular RS 7. The RS 7 Performance also has ‘Overboost’ mode where it makes 750 Nm of max torque. Transmission is taken care of by an 8-speed tiptronic automatic, and the power is sent to all 4 wheels via Audi’s quattro AWD system.

The RS 7 Performance rides on 20 inch wheels, with an option to upgrade to 21 inch. There isn’t any visual differences that helps differentiate the regular RS 7 from this RS 7 on steroids. Perhaps one has to get behind the wheel to find it for themselves. The RS 7 Performance gets all the features and kit from the regular RS 7, including Bose audio system, optional Bang & Olufsen unit, Dynamic steering, RS adaptive air suspension, optional RS sport suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC), RS brake system, RS sport exhaust system, optional ceramic brakes, quad zone climate control, RS Sports seats and many more. And yes, before you ask, the RS 7 Performenception is coming to India via CBU route.
