Tata Xenon Yodha launched at Rs 6.05 lakh

Tata Motors has launched the Xenon Yodha pick-up truck, available in both single & double cab, and in 4WD or 2WD. The single cab variant is priced at Rs 6.05 lakhs for BSIII and Rs 6.19 lakh for BSIV. The Xenon Yodha is a facelift of the Xenon pick-up truck.

The Xenon Yodha is powered by a 3.0 litre diesel engine, with a power output of 53.7 kW (72 HP) in BSIII & 63.4 kW (85 HP) in BS IV. Torque output is at 223Nm in BS III & 250 Nm in BS IV. Yodha has payload of up to 1,250 kg, and ground clearance is at 210 mm.

As far as safety is concerned, the vehicle is fitted with antiroll bars for better stability in loaded conditions at high speeds & loaded off road conditions. Other safety features are 3-layered body construction, crumple zones, a collapsible steering column, retractable seatbelts and side intrusion beams to protect passengers in the event of a side impact collision.

Tata Motors is offering a customized free AMC package of 3 years / 1 lakh km and a warranty of 3 years or 3,00,000 km (whichever is earlier).

The company also announced the appointment of actor Akshay Kumar as its brand ambassador. Ravi Pisharody, Executive Director – Commercial Vehicles, Tata Motors, said, “I am happy to have Akshay Kumar here with us, for the launch of the new Xenon Yodha – the first Tata Motors commercial vehicle, the actor is making an appearance with. Tata Motors’ association with Akshay Kumar will be supported by a high-decibel, 360 marketing campaign, starting with the Xenon Yodha. Besides products and solutions, Akshay will be actively involved in a host of innovative marketing and customer experience initiatives, to be rolled out by Tata Motors commercial vehicles division.”
