2017 KTM Duke range (390, 250, 200) launched in India

KTM has launched the 2017 Duke range in India – the Duke 390, Duke 250, and Duke 200, priced at Rs 2,25,730, Rs 1,73,000, and Rs 1,43,500 ex-showroom, Delhi, respectively.

Priced at Rs 2,25,730 ex-Delhi, the 2017 Duke 390 is powered by the 373.2 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 43.5 PS at 9,000 rpm and 37 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox, assisted with slipper clutch. The bike is Euro 4 compliant, and comes with ride-by-wire and a side-mounted exhaust. LED headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, LED indicators, wider rearview mirrors, softer seat cushioning, adjustable levers, CANBUS system, E-Vap unit, and H rated Metzeler M5 Interact tyres are some of its features. The TFT instrument console comes with MyLink system – a phone mirroring technology, which allows you to pair your smartphone via Bluetooth. While the rear 230 mm disc remains the same, the front gets a larger 320 mm disc. ABS comes as standard.

Priced at Rs 1,73,000 ex-Delhi, the 2017 Duke 250 is the new member to join KTM India portfolio. Powered by a 248.8 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit, producing 30 PS at 9,000 rpm and 24 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox assisted by a slipper clutch. Braking duties are handled by a 230 mm disc at the rear and 300 mm at front. Unlike the 390, the 250 doesn’t get LED headlamps or the TFT instrument console, and neither the ABS. The bike can be had either in white or orange.

Unlike its bigger siblings, the 2017 Duke just gets the cosmetic upgrades – new graphics. The bike continues to be powered by the same 199.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, producing 25 PS @ 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. There is no ride-by-wire, slipper clutch, and ABS. Priced at Rs 1,43,500 ex-Delhi.
