Nissan Terrano facelift launched at 9.99 Rs lakh

Nissan India launches the Terrano facelift at Rs 9.99 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. Duster’s Japanese cousin not only gets some cosmetic tweaks but also adds some features. Variant wise prices below are ex-Delhi.

On the exterior, the 2017 Terrano gets subtle design tweaks for the bumper and electrically foldable ORVMs with turn signals. 16-inch machined alloy wheel design and the side profile remains unchanged. A new ‘Sandstone Brown’ exterior colour joins the colour options.

For the interiors, Nissan claims to have added 22 new features. These include dual-tone interior, new seat fabrics, soft-touch paint on the upper dashboard, new steering wheel design with audio controls, one-touch Lane Change Indicator, anti-pinch driver side window, new door pad design and white backlight illumination for door switches. The facelift also gets cruise control and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and voice recognition.

No mechanical changes under the hood. The diesel is a 1.5 litre (1,461 cc) 4-cylinder turbocharged motor, available in two states of tune. The lower tune is 85 PS (84 bhp) @ 3750 rpm and 200 Nm @ 1750 rpm, and, for those who want more, there is a 110 PS (108 bhp) @ 4000 rpm and 245 Nm @ 1750 rpm tune as well. While the lower tune gets a 5-Speed MT, the higher tune can be had with either a 6-Speed MT or an AMT. Do note that the AMT is offered only in the top end ‘XVD Pre’ trim.

The petrol is a 1.6 litre (1,598 cc) 4-cylinder naturally aspirated unit, with an output of 104 PS (102 bhp) @ 5850 rpm and 145 Nm of torque @ 3750 rpm, paired to a 5-Speed MT.

The AMT variant also gets driver assistance systems such as Hill Assist Control and ESP. Unlike the Duster, there is no AWD on offer.

In the period between April 2016 – February 2017 the company has sold 7,973 units of the Terrano.
