Marc Lichte, Head of Design, Audi AG, teases a new coupe-SUV concept, all set to debut at Auto Shanghai 2017. At this point we’re not sure what’s hiding under the veil, since the E-Tron badge could mean anything between an all-electric to plug-in hybrid.
But the illuminated four-ring logo both front and back is probably a giveaway that we’re looking at an all-electric crossover. Another clue is an almost-filled grille, which is usually the case with most battery electric vehicles.
Audi’s designer Domen Rucigaj’s sketch doesn’t have the exhaust tips at the rear either, which is probably another giveaway. We could be looking at the Jaguar I-Pace rival, but anyway, we’ll know more when the Auto Shanghai opens its doors to the media in just a couple of days.
