A letter sent to the dealers from Chevrolet’s Vice President of Marketing & Customer Experience confirms the new Beat facelift launch in India on 3rd week of July. The letter puts an end to the rumours that Chevrolet is shutting down its operations in India.
The Beat facelift for India takes the design cues from the concept that was displayed at the 2016 Auto Expo. Similar in the lines of i20 Active, there might be plans for the Beat Activ and a sub-4 metre compact sedan as well.
Fourth Generation Chevrolet Spark (Activ) (M400), Chevrolet US
Unlike the fourth generation model (M400), internationally known as Spark (pictured above), the Beat facelift for India will be based on the outgoing model’s M300 platform, and is expected to carry the same engines as well. The 1.2 litre 4-cylinder petrol and the 1.0 litre 3-cylinder diesel, with a 5-Speed manual transmission.
The Beat facelift has been spotted testing in India several times, featuring a touchscreen unit inside. More details are expected soon.
