Rolls-Royce has released a teaser image of the 8th generation Phantom, slated to debut on 27th July at Bonhams in Mayfair, London. The new Phantom will be revealed as a part of ‘The Great Eight Phantoms’ – A Rolls-Royce Exhibition for the British public, where the Queen Elizabeth II’s Phantom VI, Aga Khan Phantom IV and the First Goodwood Phantom (Phantom VII) will also be present.

According to several media reports, the 8th-gen Phantom will be based on the new BMW 7 Series’ platform, which is expected to make it lighter than the outgoing model. Engine will most likely continue to be the same 6.75-litre V12, paired to an 8-speed ZF auto.

Leaked brochure images suggest that the secondary lights, just below the headlamps have been dropped.
