Triumph has launched the Street Scrambler in India at Rs 8.10 lakh ex-showroom, Pan India. Street Scrambler is the 6th offering in India under Triumph’s ‘Modern Classics’ range.

As you might have guessed, the bike is based on the Street Twin range, but gets some necessary tweaks. It gets revised chassis, wider handle bars, and lower + narrower seat to name a few.

The 900 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine has a rather different tuning compared to the Street Twin, it makes 55 PS (54 bhp) @ 6,000 rpm and 80 Nm of torque @ 2,850 rpm here. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox with torque assist clutch.

Suspension is a 41 mm KYB forks at the front, and an adjustable twin KYB shocks at the rear. Front brake is a single 310 mm disc with Nissin 2-piston floating caliper, while the rear is a single 255 mm one with Nissin 2-piston floating caliper. The bike weighs 206 kg dry.
