Maruti Suzuki has launched the refreshed Celerio, with prices starting at Rs 4,15,273 ex-showroom, Delhi. The Celerio is available in petrol and CNG variants.
On the exterior, the car gets minor design tweaks, mainly the redesigned bumpers which makes the vehicle more appealing than before. There is a redesigned front grille as well.
Interiors have also been refreshed with new seat fabrics and silver accents.
Equipment list includes keyless entry, audio player with bluetooth, 4 speakers, steering mounted controls, Day/Night IRVM and electrically adjustable ORVMs. As for the safety, a driver’s airbag is standard across the trims. Additional safety kit includes passenger airbag, ABS, and rear window demister.
Powering the car is a 998 cc 3-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 50 kW (67 hp) and 90 Nm of torque with petrol, 43.5 kW (58 hp) and 78 Nm of torque with CNG. Transmission is a 5-speed manual or an AMT.
“Brand Celerio has clocked sales of over 300,000 units.” said R S Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (Marketing and Sales). He also said that the car has retained a healthy growth rate of over 19% since launch.
MSIL said that the new Celerio meets pedestrian, offset and side impact regulations. Celerio is the 7th model from the company to meet new car safety norms ahead of its timelines.
