Tata Motors announced that the company would be increasing the prices of its entire passenger vehicle range by up to Rs 60,000 depending on the model.

The company said that the price hike is due to rising input costs and will be effective from 1 April 2018. However, there was no further detail on how much hike each model would get. Most likely, the Hexa which is the company’s premium offering, will get the maximum hike.

Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business, Tata Motors, said – “The rising input costs, changing market conditions and various external economic factors, have compelled us to consider the price increase, but we are optimistic on maintaining our growth trajectory in the coming year on the back of our robust product portfolio like Tiago, Hexa, Tigor, and Nexon.”

The most recent launch from Tata Motors was the Zest Premio Special Edition.
