3rd generation BMW X3 launched at Rs 49.99 lakh

BMW has launched the 3rd generation X3 in India, priced at Rs 49,99,000 for the xDrive 20d Expedition and Rs 56,70,000 for the xDrive 20d Luxury Line. Both prices ex-showroom, Pan India.

The new X3 was globally unveiled back in June 2017, and the production started in India in March this year at the company’s plant in Chennai.

Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India said, “BMW X3 established the premium mid-size sports activity vehicle segment in India and became a trailblazer with its modern character. The all-new BMW X3 is set to write the next chapter in its success story with an even more striking, dynamic design language, powerful yet efficient drive systems and luxurious equipment.”

“Practical both on and off-road, the all-new BMW X3 is fully equipped for the most diverse driving demands, combining everything you need for wherever your day takes you,” he added.

Powertrain

For the Indian market, the new X3 is offered with a 2.0-litre (1,995 cc) 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo diesel that delivers 190 hp at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,750–2,500 rpm. An 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission sends power to the all four wheels via xDrive all-wheel-drive system.
