Jaguar has revealed a special edition of its XE sports saloon named XE Landmark Edition. The car is based on the XE R-Sport and gets visual enhancements.

Speaking of which, the Landmark Edition on the exterior gets Sport front bumper, body-coloured side sills and boot spoiler, Gloss Black trim (for window surrounds, door mirror caps, grille surround and side vents), Landmark badging on the side vents, unique 18-inch alloy wheels and a choice of three distinctive colours – Yulong White, Firenze Red and Santorini Black.

As soon as the door opens, the owner is reminded that he’s about to get on board a special edition by Landmark treadplates, also known as scuff plates. Other features include R-Sport leather interior and 10-inch Touch Pro system. Satellite navigation, xenon headlights and front and rear parking sensors are also fitted as standard.

Depending on the market, there’ll be a choice of 2.0 4-cylinder Ingenium petrol and diesel engines. The diesel engine is offered with two states of tune – 180 PS or 240 PS while the petrol is offered with outputs ranging from 200 PS to 300 PS. The engines can be had either with a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed auto, sending power to the rear wheels (RWD) or all four wheels (AWD).

Jaguar said that all petrol engines are now equipped with particulate filters to make them even cleaner.

Nick Rogers, Executive Director, Product Engineering, JLR said, “Our award-winning XE offers the agility and dynamic handling of a Jaguar, thanks to its advanced Integral link rear suspension with hollow-cast aluminium, alongside enhanced connectivity and best-in-class safety features like our pioneering Autonomous Emergency Braking system. The Landmark Edition is offered with our Ingenium petrol and diesel engines, now with all-new calibration to improve acceleration and transient response, as well as the latest filter technologies, continuing our commitment to reduce vehicle emissions.”
