Just when you thought that the Rezvani Tank is the craziest, there is the Karlmann King.
Not completely sure where they’re based from, but apparently, the SUV has been designed by IAT Automobile Technology from Beijing, China. And, if you happen to know anything about the stealth aircrafts, you would know why the Karlmann King looks the way it looks.
According to the company, the SUV is designed by a team consisting of over 1,800 people, produced by a top-level custom vehicle manufacturer from Europe.
The SUV is reportedly built on a Ford F-550 chassis. A massive 6.8-litre V10 Triton gasoline engine powers the Karlmann King, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission sending power to the all four wheels.
In the aforementioned Ford, the engine produces 288 hp @ 4,000 rpm and 424 lb-ft (575 Nm) of torque @ 3,000 rpm. The engine has been reportedly tweaked to produce a bit more in the Karlmann King.
Official top speed number is 140 km/h (87 mph), and the SUV can bear the temperatures ranging from -40° to 90°C.
The body is a mix of Carbon fibre and Steel, and bulletproofing is optional. The SUV weighs around 4,000 kg. With bulletproof, the weight goes up to 6,000 kg.
The SUV rides on 20-inch wheels, and gets air suspension front and rear.
Interiors get a 4K TV, PS4, phone projection system, coffee machine and last but not the least, an electrically retractable champagne/wine bottle dispenser or whatever you wanna call that. Optionals include a Satellite TV and Satellite Phone.
