Renault Captur S-Edition gets more power and style

Renault has launched the Captur S-Edition at its home market in France. The limited edition model gets visual enhancements and a more powerful engine.

The ‘S’ stands for Sporty. The crossover gets an exclusive Iron Blue exterior finish combined with an Etoilé Black or Platine Grey roof. The looks are further enhanced by the black 17-inch Filante diamond-cut alloy wheels, S-Edition badging, Gun Metal Grey door protection inserts and skid plates (front and rear).

The cabin gets an exclusive Alcantara/simile leather upholstery with blue top stitching which is carried over to the arm rest, gear lever and parking brake.

Equipment list includes R-Link Evolution (connected, Android Auto-enabled multimedia system with 7-inch touchscreen display, TomTom navigation, European mapping, Bluetooth connectivity and USB port), Reversing camera, Parking sensors, Easy Park Assist and Blind Sport Warning.

Options include Bose sound system, fixed glass sunroof, heated front seats, Iron Blue exterior embellishments (door protection inserts and wheel centre cap), Volubilis Blue interior embellishments (air vent and loud speaker surrounds, gear lever bellows surround) and a Spacesaver spare wheel.

Powertrain
Besides the existing set of powertrains, an exclusive 1.3-litre (1,333 cc) gasoline engine is offered for the S-Edition. The Energy TCe 150 engine makes 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque, and can be had either with a 6-speed manual or a dual-clutch automatic.

0-100 km/h acceleration is rated at 8.20 seconds and top speed is 216 km/h.

Order books have already opened across the French sales network. The Captur S-Edition carries a starting price tag of €23,300.
