The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe is all set to go on sale in September 2018, but before that, the Edition 1 has been officially revealed and will be available for a limited period of 12 months from the market launch.

Available on the top-of-the-range GT 63 S 4Matic+, the Edition 1 gets AMG Aerodynamics Package including a larger front splitter and enhanced rear diffuser. Compared to the standard vehicle with its adjustable spoiler extended to the max, at 300 km/h an additional 30 kg of downforce presses the rear axle down. The larger front splitter further reduces the front axle lift if the adjustable louvers (Airpanel) are closed.

Other exterior features include AMG sports stripes in matt graphite grey (foil) and 21-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels in gloss finish.

The Edition 1 can be had in designo graphite grey magno, diamond white bright or graphite grey metallic exterior paintwork.

Interiors get AMG Performance seats with memory package, upholstery in exclusive grey/black Nappa leather with yellow contrast stitching, AMG Performance steering wheel with Edition 1 badge, shift paddles in black, matte carbon-fibre accents, seat belts in yellow, Air-Balance Package with “AMG #63” fragrance and few more.

Further options include AMG Night Package, AMG Exterior Carbon-Fibre Package 2, AMG high-performance ceramic braking system and High-Class rear seat.

No changes under the hood. The GT 63 S 4Matic+ is powered by a 4.0L V8 twin-turbo with an output of 470 kW (639 hp) and 900 Nm of torque, paired with an AMG Speedshift MCT 9G featuring permanent all-wheel-drive with variable torque split. The drift mode comes as standard.
