BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS launched in India

BMW Motorrad has launched the much-awaited G 310 R and G 310 GS motorcycles in India, priced at Rs 2.99 lakh and Rs 3.49 lakh, respectively. Both prices are ex-showroom, Pan India.

The 310 is a collaboration between the German automaker and TVS Motor Company, and will be produced at TVS’ facility in Hosur. According to Motorrad, the development happened in Munich, Germany.

Both motorcycles are powered by a newly developed 313 cc water-cooled single-cylinder 4-stroke engine, producing 34 hp at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

BMW-G-310-GS

Both motorcycles get single discs at both ends, measuring 300 mm with 4-piston caliper at the front and 240 mm with a single-piston caliper at the rear. Front suspension is a 41 mm upside-down fork while the rear is a monoshock with adjustable preload.

BMW Motorrad 2-channel ABS is standard as well. The motorcycles accelerate from 0 – 50 km/h in 2.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 143 km/h.
