10th generation Honda Civic launched at Rs 17.70 lakh

The 10th generation Honda Civic is now in the Indian market, in the sedan form, with prices starting at Rs 17.70 lakh ex-showroom, Pan India. Variant wise ex-showroom prices below –

Depending on the trim, exterior features include full LED headlamps with auto on/off, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, ORVM-integrated LED turn signals, LED tail lamps, electric sunroof, shark fin antenna and 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.

Interiors get Ivory leather upholstery, 8-way power driver seat, tilt & telescopic steering, 7-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, Voice Recognition, 4 speakers & 4 tweeters, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, ambient lighting, and auto dimming IRVM.

Also included in the features list are auto up/down for all four windows with anti-pinch, rain sensing wipers, rear defogger, rear AC vents, and adjustable headrests (front & rear).

Safety kit includes dual front airbags, front side airbags, curtain airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Reversing Camera, Lane-Watch Camera, Rear Parking Sensors, Emergency Stop Signal, and front seatbelts with load limiters and pretensioners.

Powering the Civic in India is a 1.8-litre (1,799 cc) i-VTEC petrol engine, tuned to produce 104 kW (141 hp) at 6,500 rpm and 174 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. The engine is paired to a CVT.

On the diesel side, its a 1.6-litre (1,597 cc) i-DTEC unit, offering 88 kW (120 hp) at 4,000 rpm and 300 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. The transmission for diesel is a 6-speed manual.

If you’re interested to know the dimensions, the Civic measures 4,656 mm in length, 1,799 mm in width and 1,433 mm in height. Wheelbase measures 2,700 mm. Boot space measures 430 litres. Depending on the trim, the Civic’s kerb weight ranges from 1,268 kg to 1,353 kg.
