BMW 530i M Sport launched at Rs 59.20 lakh

BMW has added another variant to the 7th generation 5-Series in India, the 530i M Sport, priced at Rs 59,20,000 ex-showroom, Pan India. Unlike the M5, the M Sport is a visual and aerodynamics upgrade package over the standard car.

These include kidney grille slats and other elements in high-gloss black, and aerodynamics package comprising of front apron with larger air intakes, side skirt trim and a diffuser-style rear apron in metallic Dark Shadow. Chrome tailpipes and 18-inch M light-alloy wheels round off the exterior looks.

Inside, the M Sport features leather Sport Seats and trim elements in Aluminum Rhombicle with highlights in Pearl Chrome. M leather steering wheel, illuminated M door sill finishers, and M Sport brake with blue calipers are also in the features list. The key gets a neat M strip.

The new 530i M Sport is available in Alpine White (non-metallic), Black Sapphire, Mediterranean Blue and Bluestone metallic finishes.

No mechanical changes. The 2.0-litre (1,998 cc) 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine in the 530i produces an output of 185 kW (252 hp) at 5,200 rpm and a maximum torque of 350 Nm at 1,450 – 4,800 rpm. The engine is paired to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. The car sprints from 0 – 100km/h in 6.2 seconds.

Launch Control function is included as standard. The driver gets to play with Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Eco Pro and Adaptive modes. More here.
