Toyota has updated the GR Corolla hot hatch for 2026 for the US market, with MSRP starting at $39,920. Unlike the previous model year where you had Core, Premium and Premium Plus trims, this time, there are only two trims to choose from:
| Trim | MSRP |
| GR Corolla Base MT | $39,920 |
| GR Corolla Base AT | $41,920 |
| GR Corolla Premium Plus MT | $45,965 |
| GR Corolla Premium Plus AT | $47,965 |
There are no styling revisions compared with the car from the previous model year, not that it needed any. But according to Toyota, the changes are under the skin. The 2026 GR Corolla boasts improved body rigidity, thanks to 45.6 feet of additional structural adhesive in the front and rear sections of the body. This should result in improved rear grip, better suspension movement, improved steering feel, and more stable cornering. Furthermore, a new secondary air intake duct helps optimize temperatures to deliver maximum engine performance.
The GR Corolla continues to be powered by a 1.6-litre (G16E-GTS) 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 224 kW (304 metric hp/300 bhp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft). The engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. The GR-FOUR AWD system is standard (Normal (60:40), Track (60:40-30:70), and Gravel (50:50)). Front and rear Torsen Limited-Slip Differentials (LSD) are standard as well.
Inside, key highlights include Brin Naub suede-trimmed sport seats, a head-up display, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, an 8-inch central touchscreen, standard wireless Apple CarPlay & wireless Android Auto compatibility, and an optional JBL Premium Sound System with Active Sound Control (ASC). The Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of ADAS comes standard.
Buyers also get a complimentary 1-year NASA (National Auto Sport Association) membership.
