As you may know, most luxury cars can be bespoked to your heart’s content. If you have the money and if they are capable of doing it, it can will happen, no matter how simple or crazy your request is. Bentley recently launched the Ombre by Mulliner scheme, and the first car to benefit from this new program is the Continental GT Speed.
The car features what is essentially a gradient paint scheme that fades from ‘Topaz’ at the front to ‘Windsor Blue’ at the rear. This paint blend is created with traditional mixing methods and is hand-applied in multiple stages. This overall fade effect takes two paint technicians approximately 56 hours to apply, Bentley said. Notice that the wheels, too, are included in this fade effect. Personally, I’d prefer all four wheels to be in the darker shade of blue (Windsor Blue).
The same gradient fade or rather a two-tone scheme has been carried over to the interior as well. The front seats, door panels, steering wheel, dashboard and centre console have been covered with ‘Topaz’ hide, while the rear section has been covered with a dark ‘Beluga’ hide.
