If you’re bored of seeing the same old KTMs around, or if you want something no one else has, well, Brabus has a solution. It’s called the Brabus 1400 R Signature Edition. Based on the KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO, the 1400 R Signature Edition is limited to 100 units, with each carrying a price tag of €41,933 in Germany (including 19% VAT).
So, what are you getting for that extra €20,434 besides the exclusivity? Well, I think it’s fairly obvious that the 1400 R Signature Edition looks like a different motorcycle altogether, thanks to its naked carbon fibre panels throughout, including a carbon mask with LED running light signatures. The Brabus Widestar elements lend the motorcycle a powerful visual character. There’s also a bespoke seat upholstered in a combination of leather and Dinamica microfiber.
Other highlights include Brabus Monoblock II EVO Platinum Edition 17-inch wheels and Brembo Hypure brake system (320 mm front gripped by 4-piston calipers; 240 mm rear gripped by a 2-piston caliper). The WP APEX Semi-Active suspension system has been carried over.
The 1,350 cc L-Twin engine produces the same 140 kW (190 metric hp) and 145 Nm (107 lb-ft) as the stock motorcycle. However, the new, repositioned exhaust system is claimed to offer a thrilling soundscape that perfectly matches the motorcycle’s aggressive look.
