Mahindra XUV 7XO launched at Rs 13.66 lakh

Not sure if it was the marketing/branding team’s idea, but if you remember, Mahindra changed its nomenclature for the XUV 300 by calling the facelift the XUV 3XO. The same formula is being applied for the XUV 700 facelift. It now identifies as the XUV 7XO. Ex-showroom prices start at 13.66 lakh.

These are introductory prices, as mentioned, and are applicable for the first 40,000 customer deliveries.

In terms of design, the XUV 7XO features revised front & rear fascias. On the front fascia, you’ll find new bi-LED headlights with C-shaped DRLs, a new grille, a new bumper, and of course, new LED fog lights. The side profile remains largely unchanged except for those new 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and the rear, there are new taillight signatures inside clear lens. The door handles continue to be electric and flush-fit.

Let’s quickly talk about the oily bits. The petrol option continues to be a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged unit, producing 149 kW (203 metric hp) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) with 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT options. The diesel is, of course, the same 2.2L 4-cylinder turbocharged unit with 136 kW (185 metric hp) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) with a 6-speed MT. With the 6-speed AT, the torque is 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). 

What about AWD? Well, AWD is available with AX7L diesel AT. Prices start at 24.92 lakh, ex-showroom. The XUV 7XO also boasts Frequency Selective Damping (FSD), branded as DAVINCI damping technology.

Key highlights inside include a panoramic display (three 12.3-inch screens), Adrenox+ connected car tech, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, front & rear ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, 6-way powered front seats, ambient lighting, and ‘Skyroof’ panoramic sunroof.
