Audi RS 3 Competition Limited debuts with adjustable suspension

Audi is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its legendary five-cylinder engine with the RS 3 Competition Limited, available in both Sedan and Sportback bodystyles. Of the limited 750 units, 585 will be Sportbacks and 165 will be Sedans. Prices in Germany start at €108,365 for the Sportback and €110,005 for the Sedan. European deliveries will commence in mid-2026.

Compared with the regular RS 3 Sedan, you’ll be paying €41,205 more for the RS 3 Sedan Competition Limited. And for the Sportback Competition Limited, you’ll be paying €41,565 more. For that extra money, you get matte carbon elements such as canards at the front, mirror caps, side skirts, a rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser insert. The front lip has been split and positioned a bit low at the outer edges to make the car appear even wider and crouched. The car rides on 19-inch wheels with ten cross spokes in Neodymium gold matte.

Pirelli PZero Trofeo R semi-slicks are optionally available, while carbon ceramic brakes come standard. The darkened matrix LED headlights are also claimed to be unique to the special edition. When locking or unlocking the car, the LED segments illuminate in a 1-2-4-5-3 pattern – a nod to the five-cylinder engine’s firing order. As for the exterior colors, besides the best-selling Daytona Gray, buyers can specify the new Glacier White Matte and the exclusive Malachite Green.

Another key highlight of these Competition Limited editions is the coilover suspension, claimed to be specially developed and tuned for the aforementioned editions. High-speed and low-speed compression can be changed separately, and rebound can be adjusted too. High-speed compression can be adjusted in 15 steps, low-speed in 12 steps, and rebound can be adjusted in 16 steps.

The materials used in the twin-tube shock absorbers’ construction – stainless steel at the front and aluminum at the rear – were chosen for stiffness, and their increased volumes help cool the hydraulic fluid. The front shock absorbers have external reservoirs. Better cooling means the dampers perform consistently, even under high loads. At the rear, larger-diameter damper tubes and thicker piston rods than the standard model provide more stable mounting and rigidity.

Stability at the rear is further increased by a new tubular stabilizer with increased wall thickness. With a stiffness of 85 Newtons/millimeter (N/mm), it is stiffer than the standard model. The spring rates at the back have been increased to 80 N/mm to match, the company said.

The 2.5L straight-five turbo engine pumps out the same 294 kW (400 metric hp) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) as the regular RS 3. The official 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time is the same, which is 3.8 seconds, and so is the top speed of 290 km/h (180 mph). The RS sports exhaust system is part of the package too.

Key highlights inside include RS bucket seats, model-specific digital dials, Sonos sound system, three-zone climate control, and rear privacy glass.
