Porsche launches the 2017 Panamera in India, priced at Rs 1.93 Crore for the Turbo and Rs 2.06 Crore for the Turbo Executive, all prices ex-showroom, Maharashtra. The ‘Executive’ is essentially a stretched version with 150 mm more wheelbase.
The new design is pretty much like a 4-door 911, with the rear end featuring a three-piece split wing. The more practical Sport Turismo on the other hand features an active spoiler.
Both variants in India will feature a 4.0 litre (3996 cc) twin turbo V8 engine, with an output of 550 hp @ 5,750 – 6,000 rpm and 770 Nm of torque @ 1,960 – 4,500 rpm, paired to an 8-Speed PDK. While the Turbo accelerates from 0 – 100 in 3.8 seconds, the Turbo Executive will do it in 3.9 seconds. With the Sport Chrono package, performance is enhanced by 0.2 seconds.
The interiors feature 12.3-inch touchscreen Porsche Communication Management, 4-zone climate control with touchscreen in the rear, Bose or Burmester surround sound system, and as always, a long list of personalization options. All models are equipped with Porsche Traction Management (PTM) and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Rear-axle steering is optional.
