It seems like the 6th generation Polo is not yet ready to come to the Indian shores. Until that happens, Volkswagen is offering Black & White edition of Polo, Ameo and Vento at no additional cost to the customers. As the name suggests, the Edition is about aesthetic upgrades.
The Deep Black finish is available only on the Polo and Vento. On the exterior, the cars get body graphics, black roof, black ORVMs, spoiler, 16-inch Portago alloys and chrome fender ‘Black & White’ badge.
Interiors get ‘Black & White’ leatherette seat covers. Rest of the features are carried over from the regular models.
No mechanical changes. Both Polo and Ameo are powered by a 76 hp 1.0L 3-cylinder petrol engine or a 90 hp 1.5L TDI diesel (110 hp in Ameo). Both engines are paired to a 5-speed manual transmission while the Ameo diesel gets an option of 7-speed DSG. The Vento on the other side offers three engines – 105 hp 1.6L naturally aspirated, 105 hp 1.2L TSI, and 110 hp 1.5L TDI, with the latter two offering 7-speed DSG.
