First Bentley Batur Convertible debuts with Beluga-Linen theme

First Bentley-Batur-Convertible

As you may know, the 12-cylinder engines are a critically endangered (CR) species, but there won’t be any breeding programs to save this species. However, before they go extinct (EX), there’ll be a small number of unicorns that will grace the garages of collectors. One of those will be the Bentley Batur, packing a 6.0L W12 powerplant. Of the total 16 convertibles the company is planning to build, what we are seeing here is the car zero.

The Batur Convertible car zero is finished in something called Opalite, a shimmering silver, which is contrasted with a gloss black racing stripe bordered on each side by Mandarin (orange) pinstripes. The same Mandarin orange highlights can be found on the matrix grille and on the wheels. Not sure if the car is headed to China or Hong Kong, but of course, don’t be surprised if it does.

Inside too, you’ll find a similar theme. The driver-focused cockpit ‘capsule’ is visually separated from the passenger by two contrasting colourways: Beluga Black hide on the driver’s side and Linen hide for the passenger. Both these hides are combined with Alcantara, and of course, Mandarin orange highlights. Behind the seats, the interior luggage area follows the same template. The steering wheel is trimmed in Beluga with Linen inner surfaces and Mandarin cross stitching.

And of course, there’s gotta be bespoke luggage and key cases. But anyway, the Batur’s 6.0L W12 biturbo engine pumps out 544 kW (740 metric hp) and 1,000 Nm (737.5 lb-ft). The engine is coupled with an 8-speed Porsche PDK.
