MINI and Sir Paul Smith have collaborated once again to launch a new range of MINI Paul Smith Edition. The range includes Cooper 3-door, 5-door and Convertible models, available on both ICE and EV variants. Currently, the pricing has been revealed only for the all-electric Cooper Paul Smith Edition, which starts at £31,205 (with a £1,500 govt grant deducted). For the rest of the variants, you might wanna get in touch with your local dealer.
The MINI Paul Smith Edition offers a choice of three exterior paint finishes, two of which are edition-exclusive. Statement Grey is a modern interpretation of the classic Mini Austin Seven colour from 1959; it’s not actually gray, but rather a pale blue shade. The Inspired White is apparently a contemporary homage to the popular Classic Mini Beige colour. The third option is the classic Midnight Black Metallic. Regardless of the body color, you’ll notice that there’s a contrasting roof, mirror caps, grille surround, and wheel hub covers in Nottingham Green – a specially created paint as a tribute to Sir Paul’s hometown.
Of course, the black doesn’t get the green roof. Instead, it gets stripes in Jet Black in varying thickness, both matte and glossy. Other noticeable details include Paul Smith lettering on the hub caps and underneath the rear logo, and the Signature Stripe on the roof. The MINI logo at the front and rear has model-specific color compositions. All edition vehicles are equipped with 18-inch Night Flash Spoke black aluminium wheels with tinted clear coat in Dark Steel.
Besides the Paul Smith branding, there are a few more details on the inside. The Nightshade Blue sports seats are upholstered with Vescin (a synthetic leather) and have knitted textile in the shoulder and headrest areas. You can also notice the Signature Stripe brand on the steering wheel. The dashboard and door pads feature knitted surfaces with stripe patterns.
Other details include “Hello” light projection on the floor, Smith’s motto “Every day is a new beginning” on the door sill, and a stylized rabbit on the floor mats.
