The 3rd-gen Mini Countryman—which debuted a couple of months ago with Countryman E and Countryman SE ALL4, is now joined by the Countryman John Cooper Works (John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4), with prices in the UK starting at £41,520.

Visually, the Countryman JCW distinguishes itself from its siblings with Chili Red contrast elements, model-specific grille pattern with a black frame, model-specific aerodynamically optimized 19- (Runway Spoke) or 20-inch (Flag Spoke) wheels, quad tailpipes at the rear, and of course, newly designed three-colour JCW logos. Buyers get to choose from 4 exterior colors: Nanuq White, Legend Grey, Smokey Green and Midnight Black II.

Inside, the dashboard is upholstered in a material made from recycled polyester, and as you can see, it has some interesting patterns going on. Other key highlights include JCW sports seats, heating function for front seats, slide adjustable rear seats (by up to 13 cm), JCW-branded heated steering wheel, OLED display, Comfort Access, and Mini head-up display. The panoramic sunroof is part of an optional package.

The new Countryman JCW packs a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine that pumps out 221 kW (300 metric hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft). The engine is coupled with a 7-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system. There’s a shortage of 6 horses and 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) this time around, but hey, at least you’re getting a turbo petrol option instead of just electric. The official 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time is 5.4 seconds and top speed is 155 km/h (96 mph).
