Replying to a Twitter user’s question on Tesla’s India plans, Elon Musk said he’s “hoping for summer this year”.

Tesla has been keen to enter the Indian market ever since it announced to be accepting orders for the Model 3 from India as well. However, there is no official word on the specific timeline for the India launch, maybe because the company is yet to come up with a plan for a nation-wide super charger network.
The Model 3 will cost $35,000 (before govt incentives), which roughly translates to Rs 23.5 lakh. But the price tag after the insane import duties is yet to be known.
