Nissan has updated the e-NV200 electric commercial vehicle with styling upgrades, higher battery capacity and added features. The vehicle is available both as a passenger or cargo van.
The e-NV200 now packs a 40 kWh battery, same capacity as the new Leaf, delivering a driving range of 300 km (JC08 mode). Also, the battery warranty has been extended to 8 years and 160,000 km, up from 5 years and 100,000 km previously.
The e-NV200’s standard normal charger now has a capacity of 6 kW, up from 3 kW. By adding a wall-mounted 6 kW normal charging system, the battery can be fully charged in about 8 hours – roughly the same as the previous standard charger – at places such as the customer’s office or shop, Nissan said.
Furthermore, the vehicle’s Power Plug, a 100-volt outlet, can provide electricity for tools and equipment. With the optional EV Power Station, the e-NV200 can even supply electricity to offices and shops and serve as a backup power source during blackouts and emergencies. 1000 watts of power from the Power Plug can be accessed for up to 15 hours, up from 8 hours in the outgoing model, depending on the battery level of course.
Other features include NissanConnect navigation system with DVD playback function, music box function and finger-gesture operation, Auto-light system and UV-cut insulated privacy glass.
A new exterior color named Excellent Blue brings the number of colors to five. Deliveries of the vehicle will begin in Japan in December.
