Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ & Chiron Pur Sport get fine tuned at Nardò Ring

Bugatti is still fine tuning its Chiron Super Sport 300+ and Chiron Pur Sport hypercars and evaluating their handling before handing them over to the customers. When it comes to hypercars, especially the ones from Bugatti, there’s no excuse; every minor thing needs to be perfect. After testing the cars at different tracks and at Nurburgring, Bugatti has now taken the pre-production prototypes to the Nardò Ring.

Four Chiron Super Sport 300+ and four Chiron Pur Sport hypercars are covering a total of over 20,000 km (12,428 mi). Engineers record the lap data and do minor tweaks to check the result on the next lap. A total of 9 GB data were generated for tuning the engine control unit alone, Bugatti said.

For the Chiron Super Sport 300+, engineers are developing a new thermal management system for the engine and gearbox, and are testing the thermal behaviour of all the components. As for the Pur Sport, the lateral dynamics specialist is giving the finishing touches to the chassis, suspension and the brake system at Nardò.

Just to remind, Bugatti is producing only 30 units of the Chiron Super Sport 300+ and 60 units of the Chiron Pur Sport. While the Divo is almost ready to be delivered, these two cars are gonna take a little bit more time. The Chiron Super Sport 300+ deliveries are expected in late 2021. As for the Pur Sport, Bugatti says that the hypercar is “quickly approaching series production”.
