TVS Motor has launched a powerful variant of Ntorq 125 called NTorq 125 Race XP, priced at INR 83,275, ex-showroom, Delhi. It is billed as the only scooter in its segment with over 10 hp.
Visually, the scooter gets a jazzy race-inspired livery with red wheels. The 125 cc single-cylinder engine gets what is described as “Race Tuned Fuel Injection (RT-Fi)”, delivering 7.5 kW (10.2 metric hp) at 7,000 rpm and 10.8 Nm (8 lb-ft) of torque at 5,500 rpm. Compared to the regular NTorq, there’s 0.8 metric hp and 0.3 Nm more. The Race XP also offers two riding modes: Race mode and Street mode; the former is claimed to enable a top speed of 98 km/h (61 mph), while the latter is for fuel-efficiency.
As for the other features, the Bluetooth-enabled ‘SmartXonnect’ is claimed to offer Voice Assist functionality supporting over 15 commands.
