Novitec Ferrari 296 GTB debuts with more peak power

Yup, the time has arrived for the Ferrari 296 GTB to get Novitecced and show off its wild side—from every side. As usual, the upgrades include visual and mechanical.

Understandably, the visual upgrades are rather subtle. I mean, the 296 GTB already looks stunning—right off the factory floor—especially if you spec it with the Assetto Fiorano package. And so, the additional aero elements are limited to those spoiler extensions at the front; forged wheels made by Vossen (21-inch at the front 22-inch at the rear), and circular tailpipes at the rear. In addition, Novitec sport springs lower the ride height by 35 mm. But then, a front lift system is also available to make the owner’s life easy; it hydraulically raises the nose of the vehicle by about 40 mm at the touch of a button.

As for the other bits, well, the stock hybrid powertrain offers combined figures of 610 kW (830 metric hp) and 740 Nm (553 lb-ft). However, Novitec engineers have installed custom turbo inlets and a high-performance exhaust system, resulting in a peak power increase of 28 kW or 38 metric hp. As usual, Novitec offers a number of exhaust systems to choose from, including an Inconel version with optional 999 fine gold plating.
