Another one?! That’s right, there’s another one of the Alpine A110. It’s called the A110 R Ultime, billed as the most extreme A110 ever. Most likely, this is the last iteration, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Alpine brings out “La Finale” or something like that next year. But either way, the A110 R Ultime is a track-focused road car, limited to 110 units, with each carrying a base price of €265,000 (including VAT). Let me tell you another jaw-dropping fact. Of the 110 units, 15 units will be painted in a gorgeous gradient finish called “La Bleue”, priced at €330,000😱. Deliveries are expected to commence in early 2026.

Just to compare, the base A110 starts at €66,900 in France. So, what are you getting for nearly four times that price? Well, for starters, you get a more aggressive, aerodynamically optimized bodykit that comes with a front spoiler/splitter, canards/dive planes, a carbon bonnet full of air outlets/heat exchangers, side fins, a large adjustable rear wing (0, +2, +4 and +6 degrees), and an aggressive rear diffuser. Furthermore, there are two NACA ducts underfloor. The rear wing itself is claimed to offer 25 kg (55 lbs) of additional downforce.

The car rides on a staggered setup of forged aluminium wheels measuring 18-inch at the front and 19-inch at the rear, wrapped with Michelin PS CUP2 tyres. As for the suspension, the A110 R Ultime features Ohlins TTX shock absorbers from the GT4 version with height adjustment and two-way hydraulic compression and rebound damping. The ride height can be lowered by 20 mm at the front and 25 mm at the rear. The front anti-roll bar, as are the chassis settings, is specific to this model, which is claimed to reduce roll from 2.2 to 1.9 degrees per G.

The brakes are also specific to the model, with the front rotors measuring 330 mm (+10 mm). The ABS and ESP were recalibrated to match the model-specific suspension. The Ultime also boasts a new limited-slip differential with 39% front and 24% rear locking ratios, claimed to be designed to limit inner wheel slip. Alpine claims a kerb weight of around 1,100 kg (2,425 lbs), which is about 16 kg (35 lbs) more than the A110 R 70.

The A110 R Ultime is powered by a reworked 1.8-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. Changes include Oreca-supplied forged connecting rods & pistons, model-specific spark plugs and a new turbo capable of up to 2.9 bar of boost pressure. With 98-octane fuel, the output figures are 239 kW (325 metric hp) at 6,000 rpm and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque between 3,200 and 4,200 rpm. If you can find 102-octane fuel, the power jumps to 254 kW (345 metric hp) at 6,000 rpm, but the same 420 Nm torque is available until 5,600 rpm. The gearbox in this application is a 6-speed wet DCT, claimed to be specifically developed for this model. Designed specifically for track use, this gearbox is claimed to enable gear changes in around 100 ms. The Akrapovic titanium exhaust system is included as standard, claimed to save 3.5 kg (7.7 lbs).

As for the official performance figures, 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time is 3.8 seconds, 0.1 seconds quicker than the A110 R 70, while the top speed is 280 km/h (174 mph), 5 km/h (3 mph) slower than the A110 R 70. Key features inside include Sabelt bucket seats with multiple color options. Alocatees can also avail the Atelier “On Demand” customization programme.
