Renault has launched a more funkier version of the Kwid range, named Kwid Climber, priced at Rs 4.3 lakh for the 1.0 MT, and Rs 4.6 lakh for the 1.0 AMT. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The Climber costs Rs 25,000 more than the top end 1.0 RXT (O).

Based on the concept that was displayed at the Auto Expo 2016, the production version gets a beefier bumper design with orange-inserted faux skid plate, adding to its much-loved SUV looks. The side profile gets a rugged door cladding, orange ORVMs, orange accents on the roof rails, and CLIMBER vinyls. The rear profile gets just the insignia. The Climber gets 15-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels as well.

The vibrant orange accents continue on the door trims, side air vents and two tone gear knob as well. The sporty steering wheel comes with orange perforations and the insignia. There are new seats with orange bolsters and CLIMBER stitching.

As mentioned earlier, the Climber is based on the top end 1.0 RXT (O) variant (both manual and AMT), and carries all the features including the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, driver airbag and Pro-Sense front seat belts.

Power output at 68 PS (67 bhp) @ 5500 rpm and 91 Nm of torque @ 4250 rpm remains the same.

Available in 3 colors – Electric Blue, Outback Bronze, and Planet Grey.
