Aeromobil is a name you probably never heard of. The small Slovakian company has been working on flying cars since 1990, and so far, all of them have just been the concepts. However, this time at the Top Marques in Monaco, on April 20th, the company is expected to showcase the production version and announce the price.

No technical information is available yet, all we know is that it can carry two people. According to few reports, its a hybrid powertrain.

The 3.0 version we see in the above video packed a 1.2 litre Rotax 4-cylinder horizontally-opposed aircraft engine, which produced 100 hp. It had a max air speed of 200 km/h and max road speed of 160 km/h, and had a range of 700 km.

Aeromobil says, current setup of the prototype is compatible with the requirements set for an aircraft in the category Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) or Ultra Light in EU.

For road operation, standard car driving license is required, and a Private Pilot License (PPL) if you want to fly. Aeromobil recommends a minimum 40 hours of flight training.
