Bengaluru-based electric vehicle startup Ather Energy has appointed Dr. Venkatesh Padmanabhan as its Chief Operating Officer. Padmanabhan will take care of the supply chain, quality, manufacturing, and service delivery at Ather.
Venki Padmanabhan was previously with General Motors, FCA, and Royal Enfield, and brings a vast experience of over 25 years to Ather. CEO Tarun Mehta hopes to steer Ather in the right direction under the guidance of Venki, as the startup has been facing challenges these days, and the launch of the highly anticipated S340 got delayed by a year.
While Flipkart’s Sachin and Binny Bansal were the initial investors, Tiger Global joined later, followed by Hero MotoCorp with an investment of over Rs 200 Crores.
