2017 Ford EcoSport facelift launched at Rs 7.31 lakh

Ford India has launched the much awaited new EcoSport at Rs 7.31 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The new EcoSport comes in 5 variants – Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+. Below are the variant wise ex-Delhi prices –

Features
The refreshed exterior gets projector headlamps, LED DRLs, fog lamps, and satin aluminium roof rails.

Interiors have been refreshed as well. Features include keyless entry, premium leather seats, silver and gloss black accents, push button start/stop, 8.0-inch floating style touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC 3, voice command, navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, footwell ambient lighting, 4 speakers, steering mounted controls, power fold mirrors, climate control, cruise control, rain sensing wipers and automatic headlamps (on/off).

The Titanium variant gets 16-inch alloy wheels shod with 205/60 tyres, while the Titanium+ gets 17-inch ones shod with 205/50 tyres.

Boot space measures 352 litres, expandable up to 1178 litres.

Safety kit includes a total of 6 airbags (2 airbags standard), ABS with EBD (standard), ESC, EBA (Brake Assist), TCS (Traction Control), HLA (Hill Launch Assist), High speed warning, rear parking sensors and reversing camera.

Powertrains
Powering the car is an all new 1.5-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which we saw in detail last month. The new petrol engine makes 123 PS @ 6500 rpm and 150 Nm of torque @ 4500 rpm. The existing 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel with an output of 100 hp and 205 Nm of torque will continue to do duty in the new EcoSport. Both engines will come with 5-speed manual as standard, while a 6-speed torque converter automatic will be an option for the petrol engine.

Claimed fuel efficiency figures for petrol are 17 and 14.8 km/l for manual and AT respectively, and 23 km/l for diesel.

Colors
There are 7 colors to choose from – Lightning Blue, Canyon Ridge (Orange), Diamond White, Moondust Silver, Race Red, Absolute Black and Smoke Grey.
