Mysterious EV from Faraday Future races Bentley, Ferrari and Tesla

LeEco backed electric start-up Faraday Future’s electric prototype races a Bentley Bentayga, Ferrari 488 GTB and a Tesla Model X in a teaser video. The 17 second video doesn’t tell you anything other than lining up with those cars, but the company plans to reveal a production version (or at least a concept) at 2017 CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, January.

Typical of battery electric cars, most of the torque is available from the moment you press the accelerator, so it’s probably safe to assume that Faraday Future’s electric car could perform similar to a Tesla or even outperform it.

Faraday Future has stopped working on its $1 billion, 3 million square foot, 900-acre manufacturing facility at North Las Vegas, Nevada due to financial troubles. As per media reports, the company’s spokesperson has said that the factory work will resume later in 2017, after they’re done with the vehicle development. The factory had hopes to create 4,500 direct jobs over a 10 year period to the state. The company has partnered with LG Chem for battery supplies.
