The new generation Volkswagen Polo is doing rounds in different parts of the world completely undisguised, suggesting that the global premiere is just around the corner. The new Polo with its Golf-inspired front fascia is reportedly going to production next month.

Built on the MQB (A0) platform, the sixth-gen Polo clearly looks larger than the outgoing model.  Reportedly, the numbers are now 4,053 mm long (current – 3,971 mm), 1,751 mm wide (current – 1,682 mm) and 1,446 mm in height. Wheelbase has been stretched by 95 mm, and now measures 2,564 mm. We’ll have to wait for the official numbers.

The top-spec model will feature full LED headlamps with zig-zag shaped integrated LED DRLs which also double as turn signals, while the LEDs at the rear appear to be standard. The front fog lamp setup is pretty similar to the outgoing model. Overall, the new face makes the car appear a whole lot wider.

Side profile is unmistakably Polo. Notice the length of the car, you don’t really need the numbers to believe the new Polo is longer and wider. Hope those wheels will make it to India as well. Expected to be showcased at Auto Expo 2018 in Delhi.
