Toyota has updated the Fortuner TRD Sportivo for the Thailand market. As before, the Sportivo is mainly about cosmetic enhancements.

Speaking of which, the restyled front bumper has a grille in honeycomb pattern, new fog lamp housing, 20-inch TRD alloy wheels, blacked-out ORVMs and blacked-out roof. At the rear, not much has changed except for a dark chrome bar over the licence plate, and TRD-branded stainless steel exhaust tailpipe which looks a bit old fashioned.

Buyers have a choice of White Pearl or Attitude Black Mica exterior paint finish.

Interiors get a sporty touch too, with TRD-branded illuminated door sills, red-black leather upholstery, red contrast stitching, red push-button start, red illuminated instrument cluster with Carbon Kevlar background, leather-wrapped steering wheel with contrast stitching, Carbon Kevlar for the centre console, and TRD-branded floor mats.

Other features include 11-speaker JBL premium audio system, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with navigation, and TRD-branded key fob.

No changes in the powertrain department. In Thailand, the Fortuner TRD Sportivo is offered with a 2.8-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine which is tuned to deliver 174 bhp (130 kW) at 3,400 rpm and 450 Nm of torque between 1,600-2,400 rpm. Transmission is a 6-speed automatic and is available either in 2WD or 4WD variants.

As we can see in the pictures, the package includes TRD springs too.

In India, the Fortuner TRD Sportivo was launched in September 2017 and is no longer on sale. However, the bumpers are still available as an accessory. An updated model could be launched in India in 2019.
