Kia Seltos gets its name from Greek mythology

Kia-Seltos-teaser

The Kia SP Concept of 2018 now has an official name called ‘Seltos’, which according to the company, was derived from “Celtos” (Celtus), son of Hercules (Heracles) in Greek mythology. The ‘S’ in Seltos implies speed and sportiness. The compact SUV was recently caught uncamouflaged during what appeared to be a photoshoot.

The Seltos is expected to be the size of Hyundai Creta. The design has enough visual emotion and sharp lines to impress the “millennials” which the Kia is targeting the Seltos for. Spy images suggest that there are dual-tone paint schemes too.

The Seltos will go on sale in Korea first and other regions to follow in the second half of 2019.
