Citroen has revealed the 3rd generation C4 hatchback that’ll also offer a pure-electric variant called ë-C4. Although the design makes it look like one of those “coupe-SUV”s with a sloping roofline, Citroen classifies this as a hatchback and we don’t know yet if a Cactus version is in the pipeline.

The Cactus or Aircross versions are probably not needed as this one already looks like an SUV with plastic cladding throughout.

The styling with all the signature Citroen elements looks pretty chic with dual lamp set-up, a sculpted bonnet, a muscular side profile and the aforementioned sloping roofline.

The sloping roofline with a spoiler-like design at the bottom of the rear windshield kinda reminds me of the Toyota C-HR, especially from the rear three-quarter angle.

The interior looks fairly contemporary with a digital instrument cluster, a floating infotainment system, a flat-bottom steering wheel and contrast styling elements. Citroen hasn’t yet shared much information about the new C4 except that it gets Advanced Comfort seats and suspension with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions.

As for powertrains, the new C4 will offer petrol, diesel and all-electric options. More details are expected on 30th June 2020.
