Husqvarna reveals E-Pilen concept with swappable batteries

Husqvarna-E-Pilen-Concept

KTM-owned Husqvarna is baking its first all-electric motorcycle called ‘E-Pilen’, and what we’re seeing here is a concept. The production version is expected to debut later this year; in the meantime, we have a few murky photos to take a look at.

Speaking of which, the photos don’t reveal much, but we can figure out its design which is similar to Vitpilen and Svartpilen models. The battery modules appear to have been housed inside the “fuel tank”, which I think is a perfect place for a swappable battery system the concept boasts.

As for the technical stuff, Husqvarna says that the E-Pilen (concept) will offer a power output of 8 kW (11 metric hp) and a range of 100 km (62 mi). I know, that’s not a lot, but for first-time EV switchers, I think it’s pretty good.
