That’s right, in case someone asks you “what’s a Chinese version of Mobilize Limo?”, you can simply say “Yi”. In case you’re asking “what’s a Mobilize Limo?!”, well, you certainly missed that story. Just a couple of days ago, Renault revealed a stylish electric sedan called ‘Limo‘ for European markets under its sub-brand Mobilize. But the catch is that the Limo will be sold only to taxi drivers and fleet operators. The Yi on the other side (of the world), however, will be available as a private vehicle.

Developed by Renault-Jiangling Motors joint venture JMEV, the Yi appears to look a bit more stylish and premium compared to the Mobilize Limo, although that might just be an illusion. Buyers can choose from 6 different colors, including a greenish-blue featured here, gray, blue, black, red, and white. Pricing is yet to be announced for the Chinese market, but buyers can register their interest on the official website.

Since the Yi is a private vehicle, it’ll most likely have a lot more features including more ADAS, compared to the aforementioned taxi. That said, the dashboard looks almost identical with dual displays and a stylish flat-bottom steering wheel. However, the differences will be in the materials used; notice carbon fibre-like inserts on the dashboard, for example.

The Yi too will be powered by a single electric motor at the front, with output figures most likely remaining the same: 110 kW (150 metric hp) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque. While the Limo claims a range of around 450 km (280 mi) from a 60 kWh battery pack, the Yi’s juicy details are yet to be fully discovered.
