Indian Motorcycle has globally launched a sporty version of its popular Indian Chief motorcycle called the Indian Sport Chief, with MSRP in the U.S. starting at $18,999 (excludes DPH and other charges). Depending on the market, buyers get to choose from four paint options:

Key highlights of the 2023 Indian Sport Chief include LED lighting all around; a 4-inch circular touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity; a 43 mm KYB inverted telescopic fork at the front; Fox Piggyback rear shocks; dual 320 mm discs at the front gripped by Brembo 4-piston calipers; Pirelli Night Dragon tyres wrapped to 19-inch front wheel and 16-inch rear wheel; a USB charging port; a 12-volt socket; ABS; Ride Modes (Sport, Standard and Tour), and a 15.1-litre (4.0 gal) fuel tank.

The aforementioned touchscreen comes with a complimentary 1-year trial of RIDE COMMAND+ (after which, fees apply) which includes features such as live weather/traffic and destination search.

Moving on to the juicy bits of the story, the Indian Sport Chief is powered by a 1.9-litre (1,890 cc) V-Twin Thunderstroke 116 engine that produces an undisclosed amount of power and 163 Nm (120 lb-ft) of torque at 2,900 rpm. According to reports, the power output of this engine is ~65 kW or 88 metric hp. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a wet multi-plate clutch. Rear cylinder deactivation is another highlight here. The motorcycle weighs 302 kg or 665 lbs.
